St. George's Market
St. George's Market, located near the River Langan, is one of the oldest markets in the UK. Built in stages between 1890 and 1896, it has been in constant use since then. Belfast was heavily bombed in WWII by German aircraft. At one point, the Market was used as a morgue. Helen and I went there for the Friday market. It was great. We picked up some fruit and veg as well as something for dinner. Prices here are much cheaper than in the grocery stores.
